Mudra Loan Eligibility
- The essential qualification for Mudra loan is as follows: –
To take a loan it is necessary to be a citizen of India.
This loan is given to small businessman or shopkeeper.
Money should be taken for an industry.
Not a corporate entity.
To take loan for non-agricultural business.
The monthly income of the applicant should be more than Rs 17,000. If the applicant is taking a Mudra loan for the business, then his annual turnover should be Rs 15 lakh.
If an applicant is taking a Mudra loan for doing business, then he has held a government or non-government job for at least two years. It is necessary for the entrepreneur to have been venturing for the last five years.
On the proof given for the residence, the applicant taking the Mudra loan has been staying for one year. If the residence address is less than this, then the applicant must have had a relationship with the bank for at least one year.
Income tax return (ITR) is not required to take a loan in Mudra loan. For evidence related to salary, income etc., however, banks may consider this option as evidence. Banks determine the interest rates of Mudra loan based on the documents given to you by the bank.

Actually, the interest rates on Mudra loans are based on the nature of the business and the risk associated with it. Generally, the minimum interest rate on a Mudra loan is 10-14 percent per annum.

If, for some reason, you have taken a Mudra loan of two lakh rupees for your business from a bank at an interest of 10 percent annually. After two months, the bank raised the interest rates to 14 percent, then this interest rate will not be applicable on your Mudra loan. You will have to pay only 10 percent interest.
